Welcome to Shrewsbury Abbey

We follow an ancient and faithful heritage of Christians who have worshipped God in this beautiful Abbey Church, dedicated to St. Peter and St. Paul.

The Abbey was founded as a place of Christian witness and worship. Today, this building is a place not only of historical importance but of spiritual significance. It is a place where people can meet with the risen Lord Jesus. It is a place where we not only see etched on the stones the incredible story of history, but where we can see through the surface into the heart of a loving God.

The Abbey is an icon - a window to eternity.

St. Peter wrote

"Come to Him, to that Living Stone, rejected by men but in God's sight chosen and precious; and like living stones, be yourselves built into a spiritual house..."

The Vicar: Revd Christopher Sims
