The Lord is risen! And we are risen with Him.
The Lord is risen! And life eternal is ours.
The Lord is risen! And death has met its master.
The Lord is risen! And the way to heaven is open.

BEFORE PRAYER
I weave a silence on my lips… my mind… my heart…

Calm me, O Lord, as you stilled the storm.
Still me, O Lord, keep me from harm.
Let all the tumult within me cease.
Enfold me, Lord, in your peace. Amen.

GIVE THANKS
We give thanks, O God our Father, for the glorious resurrection of your Son our Lord from the dead:
for his victory over sin and the grave;
for his Risen Presence in our daily lives;
for his promise of life immortal with Him.
Accept our praise, and teach us day by day to live rejoicingly in the faith of Him who died for us, and rose again, and is alive for evermore, our Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen

PRAY FOR FAITH, HOPE AND LOVE

Lord, at this Easter time we ask you to increase our faith, our hope and our love.

Give us the faith that overcomes the world and enables us to face both life and death calm and unafraid.

Give us the hope that looks beyond this mortal life and grasps hold of things unseen and eternal.

Give us the love that binds us more closely to one another, and to you our Risen Lord. Amen.

PRAY FOR FORGIVENESS

Lord Jesus Christ, forgive me the times when I have forgotten your Risen Presence for ever with me.

Forgive me the times when I failed in some task because I did not ask your help.

Forgive me for times when I fell to some temptation beccause I tried to meet it by myself.

Forgive me for times when I was driven to despair, because I was trying to fight the battle in my own unaided strength.

Forgive me for times when I said or did things which now I am ashamed to remember that you heard and you saw. Amen.

PRAY FOR YOURSELF

Lord Jesus Christ, help me never to forget your Risen Presence for ever with me.

Help me to remember:

That you are with me in every time of perplexity to guide and to direct;

That you are with me in every time of sorrow to comfort and console;

That you are with me in every time of temptation to strengthen and to inspire;

That you are with me in every time of loneliness to cheer and befriend;

That you are with me even in death to bring me through the waters to the glory on the other side.

Make me to be certain that there is nothing in time or eternity which can separate me from you. Amen.
