Go Green For St John’s Day

St John Ambulance is nearing the delivery of an amazing one volunteer million hours, in support of the
COVID-19 response and the vaccination programme. The charity’s volunteers continue to demonstrate their value to
local communities all over the country. Within Shropshire they have been busy training Vaccinators and helping at
the vaccination centres. Members have also been supporting the Ambulance services across the north and midlands
crewing ambulances and providing community first responders.

St John’s Day on 24th June is normally a focal point for the St John family year, when they celebrate the
work of our charity over the past year. Due to Covid-19 restrictions St John’s Ambulance couldn’t hold their normal celebrations.
Many buildings and local landmarks around the country lit up in green on that evening to celebrate the tireless work of St John volunteers and staff. We were honoured to be involved in the project
