Gerard McChrystal plays jazz and blues saxophone, but he is a master of the sax used as a classical instrument. During recent sessions with Abbey organist, Nigel Pursey, we have been enthralled by Gerard’s sublime sound in the wonderful acoustic of the Abbey. To say we have been blown us away is no exaggeration.
As you might imagine, Gerard’s engagement diary is pretty much solid, however we have managed to find a date – 31st October – when the people of Shrewsbury and Shropshire can experience his extraordinary sound.
