Regular Services & Prayer Times at the Abbey (Please see special services at the end of this list.)

 

  • Morning Prayer

Mon-Sat 8.30am – 8.45am. Please use the south door, near the pedestrian crossing over Abbey Foregate.

 

  • Private Prayer & Quiet Contemplation

We invite everyone of faith or of none, to visit the Abbey Monday to Saturday, to come to sit quietly, to pray, to light a candle for a loved one in the Lady Chapel. We particularly keep 11.00am to 3.00pm as Abbey Quiet Time.

 

  • Midday Prayer

Prayers are said for a few minutes at midday every day, Monday to Saturday, led by one of our Day Chaplains. Afterwards they will gladly pray with you or answer any questions.

 

  • Midweek Holy Communion

We have a popular service of Holy Communion each Wednesday at midday. It takes place in our Lady Chapel and lasts about 40 minutes.

 

  • Sunday Services
  • 11.00am Choral Eucharist. Services are said when the choir is absent during August,
  • 3.00pm Choral Evensong. In the choir’s absence we hold Evening Prayer.
