ORGAN RECITAL – WILLIAM BROOKE

William is Senior Organ Scholar at St Mary the Virgin, Ewell, Surrey. He was appointed in October 2023 and is responsible for playing the services sung by the choir every week during term time. William has played for the choir on their on visits to Margham Abbey, Guildford, Llandaff and Wells Cathedrals.
William is in his second year studying for a BMus in Music at the University of Surrey and was awarded a Performance Scholarship from the Humphrey Richardson Taylor Charitable Trust. He is receiving lessons on the organ at Guildford Cathedral from the sub-organist Asher Oliver.
During the holidays he has been active in a freelance capacity across London, Surrey and Berkshire.
He is also a Bass Choral Scholar at St Mary the Virgin, Ewell, sings in the University of Surrey Chamber Choir and alongside members of the choir from Shrewsbury Abbey he is part of St Mary’s Ecumenical Choir.
