PUCCINI’S LA FANCIULLA DEL WEST – OPERA

In collaboration with Ensemble SY1, Verismo Opera brings Puccini’s La fanciulla del West to Shrewsbury Abbey. All profits are donated to the Team Cleo Fund (https://www.thebraintumourcharity.org/get-involved/our-supporter-groups/supporter-groups/groups/the-team-cleo-fund/).

Owing to the generosity of Shrewsbury Abbey as also all performers donating their time and talents, it is estimated that less than £5 of your ticket purchase goes to operational costs allowing the balance to be donated directly to the Team Cleo Fund. For this project, we have a fund-raising target of £15,000. Please help us fill the Abbey!

This opera will be semi-staged and accompanied by a full orchestra. With a stage and professional lighting, the abbey will be transformed for you to enjoy this diamond of exquisite art performed by professional operatic singers.

There will be English surtitles.

Children five and older are allowed in the venue if they have their own ticket and sit with an adult. If you are accompanying children under the age of 16 you must be over 18 and you must sit next to them and ensure their good behaviour throughout the performance.

The doors to the Abbey will close 5 minutes before the beginning of the show. Those who are late to the performance will need to wait until the intermission to be seated. Please make sure that you arrive in plenty of time.
