His boundless approach to music making has led him to collaborations with many leading figures in the music industry. These include Philip Glass, Tom Jenkins/Squarepusher,  Angélique Kidjo, Nico Muhly, Martin Creed, David Lang, Richard Reed Parry, Bryce Dessner & Darkstar, many of whom have written large scale works for him. He has released music on Bedroom Community, Orange Mountain Music and Warp Records   In 2021/22 McVinnie will give the first performance in France of “Infinity Gradient” a 60 minute work for organ and 100 speakers in a 1-Bit audio by Tristan Perich and a new Concerto by Gabriela Smith with the Los Angeles Philharmonic under Esa Pekka Salnen. Bass Mike Sheehan and organist Nigel Pursey present a sequence of ancient plainchants alongside organ music written around those chants, dating from Tudor times to the present day. All the colours of the organ will be demonstrated in a reflective and atmospheric presentation   After a drinks interval the evening’s serene calm will be shattered as the lights dim and we present the iconic silent horror film Nosferatu, with live organ music performed on the Hill organ by Nigel Pursey.
