We are excited to announce a new series of recitals taking place at Shrewsbury Abbey on Sunday afternoons after Evensong for one hour. The first of these will be given by internationally renowned pianist Graham Scott at 5:30pm on Sunday 16th October with a programme of music by Chopin. Hailed by the Gramophone magazine as ‘an exceptional talent,’ Graham has performed extensively throughout the world notably in London (Wigmore Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall and Barbican Centre), New York, Washington DC, Los Angeles, Beijing, Paris and Tokyo. AbbeyFest Spectacular 2022

Abbeyfest looks to combine the electric atmosphere of a festival with the comforts of Christmas, all under Shrewsbury Abbey’s iconic roof, and it’s shaping up to be a real festive treat! We’ll be offering a specially selected array of beers and gins from independent brewers and distillers both local and further afield, a selection of food stalls, live music and a few other treats along the way. Abbeyfest is the perfect start to the festive season and is guaranteed to get even the most ardent of Scrooges into the Christmas spirit…  with a little help from some delicious Christmas spirits!
